I heard someone once say that the difference between a man and a boy is that a man does what he has to do and a boy does what he wants to do. Spiritually speaking, it's time to do what you got to do.
"Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming." Colossians 3:5-6
The wrath of God isn't just about judgement day. The wrath of God is also what we reap in the here and now. Sin is an equal opportunity destroyer. We put to death the earthly nature so as to not incur the wrath of God.
I don't feel a need to go over each and every type of sin. I believe the Holy Spirit is telling you what you need to know. Are you listening?
I will say that whatever you are thinking about, kill it. Just like the wise man said in Proverbs to the young men. Run. Don't think about. Don't pray. Run. So, what ever it is. Kill it. Don't think about if you should. Don't think about your weakness. Just kill it.
Father, help us to put to death what ever we need to. Praise be to you in us today!
