God's Eyes Are On You: Psalm 34:15

"The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their cry."
 Psalm 34:15

God is looking out for you. His eyes are on you because you are his child. You are righteous because Jesus is your righteousness (I Corinthians 1:30).

Every parent knows what it means to keep your eye on you child. You could be at a park or the mall or a little league game. Anywhere. But, you always want to know where your son or daughter is and that they are all right. That is nothing compared to how God feels about us. The Father always knows where you are and how you are doing.

The Father is attentive to your cry. In the parable of the prodigal son we often miss the real important detail of the story and that is that the father ran to the son. In middle eastern cultures men don't run. So, the people who heard Jesus tell that parable would of been blown away by a father who so loved his son that he ran to welcome him back. He had been waiting and hoping for that day.

You are God's child. Look to him and cry out to him no matter what you are going through. He's waiting.

Father, thank you that your eyes are on me and you are attentive to my cry! I call out to you! Praise be to you in us today!
