So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.

One time, while attending a Scouting event, my youngest son, who at the time was maybe a Tiger Cub Scout, wanted to throw a hatchet. After standing in line for a long time he got tired and wanted to go back to our camp area. I told him, if he hit the bulls eye I'd buy him a hat (with LED lights in it) that he was looking at. About ten minutes later it was finally his turn and sure enough, he takes aim and hits the bulls eye with his first shot. He had a desire, he had a goal, he got the hat.
Sometimes we just need to be reminded that our goal is to please the Lord. We may do a lot of different things throughout the day, but, the goal is to please God. Whether it be cleaning up your mess so your wife doesn't have to do it, or cleaning up a mess at work so the next person doesn't have to deal with it, do it to please God.
