A Prayer for our Leaders: I Timothy 2:1-2

"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings, and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness." I Timothy 2:1-2

Father, we pray for our President, Governors, Senators, Representatives, Mayors and all those in government. We ask that you would grant them wisdom and guidance. We pray that you would protect those who can not protect themselves and empower those who can. 

We pray that our leaders would humble themselves in the realization that You are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and that all life flows from you. Liberty and justice are ultimately in your hands and each will have to give an accounting for themselves to you. 

Father, protect our nation and may your freedom reign.
