Let Your Prayers Rise Up
And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each on had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God's people. Revelation 5:8
Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God's people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God's people, went up before God from the angel's hand. Revelation 8:3-4

You Don't Have to Get It, You Just Have to Get Him
Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”
John 13:6-7 NIV
I love Peter because he was just a guy trying to love Christ with all his heart, soul and mind. And we have so much to learn from his life because he was willing. He was willing to ask, willing to step out, willing to try and willing to learn. Peter didn't get everything, but, he got Jesus.
Like Peter we may not understand what the Lord is doing in our lives, even when what he's doing is right in front of us. Amazingly, Christ understands. He doesn't get impatient and wonder why we don't see the end from the beginning, only he does. He doesn't cut us off because our faith waivers, he promised to never leave us. He never tells us that we have one more chance, he ever lives to intercede for us.
The important truth is that Christ knows we may not understand what he's doing but, he does ask us to trust him until we are ready to understand what he is doing. Like Peter we will, in God's time understand. You don't have to get it, you just have to get Him.

Thank God for His Comfort
A blessed Sunday to you all! Today we remember to rest in the Lord. Psalm 86:17 reminds us that God has comforted us.
I am first of all reminded of John 14:26, "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." (KJV)
I am also reminded of the many times that the Spirit has comforted me through many painful and difficult circumstances. It wasn't in the highlights that I really learned that God is always with me, whether I feel his Presence or not, it was in the depths of pain, conflict and fear that I learned he is always with me, comforting me with the knowledge that he will never leave me or forsake me and he will use all things to work his good in my life.
That leads me to our final thought and that is found in 2 Corinthians 1:4, " Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God."

He Will Do It
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 NIV
Father, thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you that you sanctify us through and through. Keep us blameless until your coming. Praise be to you because you are faithful and will do it!

Better
Better is one day in your courts
than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
the Lord bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does he withhold
from those whose walk is blameless.
Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.

It's Time
No matter where you are at, it's time to call on God. In thanksgiving and cries for help, God is on the throne and Christ is at the right of the thrown interceding on our behalf.
Hasten, O God, to save me;
come quickly, Lord, to help me.
May those who want to take my life
be put to shame and confusion;
may all who desire my ruin
be turned back in disgrace.
May those who say to me, “Aha! Aha!”
turn back because of their shame.
But may all who seek you
rejoice and be glad in you;
may those who long for your saving help always say,
"The Lord is great!”
But as for me, I am poor and needy;
come quickly to me, O God.
You are my help and my deliverer;
Lord, do not delay.
Psalms 70:1-5 (NIV)
