May Your Love Abound

How better to pray? for yourself, for you spouse, for you children, for your friends...

Lord, open our eyes to see your love in our lives. May our insight into the depth of your loves for us grow and grow. Grant us abounding knowledge of your work in our lives. Thank you and praise you for providing for us today. 

Good Things

Lord, open my eyes to see all that you provide for me each and everyday. Grant me a heart of thankfulness. Help me to serve others and be the blessing someone else needs. 

Find Your Refuge

Lord, You alone know what we each battle. We call out to You to be our Refuge in this world. Be our Stronghold as we fight the good fight and seek to glorify you today.

Lord, thank you for being our Refuge, Savior, and Deliverer. Be with us and protect us this week. Give us strength to fight the good fight. Remind us of your love for us. Praise be to you in us today!

The Power of Praise

Praise is more than just a warm fuzzy feeling. Praise is acknowledging the truth of who God is and always will be. Sometimes, in the midst of living our daily lives we can forget that we are not the center of the universe and there is more to life than just what we see and feel in the here and now. Thanksgiving is linked to praise and frees to remember the goodness and greatness of the Lord God Almighty our Maker, Savior, intercessor, friend and Father. 

So, remember all the good things he has done for you and praise him for being your Maker.

Hook Up With His Mighty Power

My power is weak and my understanding is finite. 

But my God, he is great and mighty in power with understanding that has no limit! 

Where I can not, he can. 

What I can not see, conceive or perceive he views from eternity and governs my life. 

Can I get an amen, me too or I'll take some?

Friday's Strength

Lord, for those of us who feel a bit beat up by the world, strengthen our hearts. For those us who feel good and things are going well, protect our hearts from letting up and forgetting that the battle still rages on. Grant us the strength to stand in Christ Jesus our Lord and to love as he has loved us. Open our eyes to see the battle around us and that greater is he that is within us than he that is in the world. Praise be to you in us today!

You Have Help and Hope

Thank you, Lord, for being our help and our hope. You know our needs and our struggles, where we need help and hope. Open our eyes to see you in our lives. Thank you that you hear our prayers.

Fix Your Thanks

Take a moment and be thankful. Fix your thoughts on what God has done for you and with you this last week. Be real. Be thankful...

In the Battle Today, God is Your Shield

Today, you will be in a battle. Remember, God, who is your strong deliverer will shield you. The battle may be fierce or it may be subtle, because we live in a world that at it's very center seeks to undermine and destroy every true perception and any hint of authentic worship of the One true God. But our God is the Sovereign LORD, our strong deliverer and he shields us in the day of battle. 

Be Watchful and Thankful

Our prayers should have a least two perspectives, one of watchfulness and the other of thankfulness. Jesus told his disciples, "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves" (Matthew 10:16).  We pray for God's guidance and protection for what might happen and are thankful for his Sovereignty over what did happen. 

Have Mercy

Lord, you hear our cries for mercy and you know why each one of us needs it. Reveal your mercy to us today. Open our eyes to see your mercy in our lives. 

No Other

“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
You shall have no other gods before me.

Deuteronomy 5:6-7 

Sometimes in the simplicity is the profoundness. The Lord is our God and he is to be the only God in our lives. It is important to remember that God is the one who sent his One and only Son to die for us, to save us from our sins, to redeem us, justify us and will one day take us all home to be with him in heaven. 

Reality is not just the way that God, the God of the Bible, sees it to be. Reality is the way that God created it to be, the way that it is. Matter, space and time were all created by God. Scientists, theoretical physicists, and philosophers may conjure up fine sounding arguments, theories and explanations for the world and universe, but, the Lord is God, and there is no other. 

Father, you are the only true God. We praise you and acknowledge you as the LORD, our God who brought us out of sin and into life in Christ Jesus. Praise be to you in us today!

God is Your Help

Let Your Prayers Rise Up

And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each on had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God's people. Revelation 5:8

Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God's people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God's people, went up before God from the angel's hand. Revelation 8:3-4
