The Sketchy Blessing

May God give you heaven’s dew
   and earth’s richness—
an abundance of grain and new wine.
Genesis 27:28 NIV

Although the circumstances surrounding the blessing are sketchy to say the least, the blessing still stands. Sometimes God blesses us despite ourselves. Like Jacob, we plot and plan, connive and conspire, and often pay the price for it. Yet, God in his amazing grace blesses us. Remember though, his mercy and kindness should lead us to repentance (Romans 2:4).

TELL US WHY YOU ARE THANKFUL!

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
   Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
   Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

Isaiah 9:6-7 (NIV)

The reason to be thankful!
I am also deeply thankful for my family!
